espionage..

cross stitch sadface

about 3 years ago i bought a cross-stitching kit when i was away on the north coast. it’s a pretty standard pattern, just of flowers in a vase. but it’s pretty big, as in the pattern spreads over two a3 sheets of paper.

As i was in an artsy (read procrastination) mood this afternoon, i decided to take it out of my crafts drawer and have another go at it. At this stage i have about half the vase done..

to my great sadness i realised that i only have half of the pattern sheet!! i searched frantically through my recently cleaned wardrobe, but, sigh, no hope. i now have to relinquish that dream…

because i’m still feeling artsy, i’m going to do another small one to ease me back into the crosstitching scene. this is the pattern:

i’m not entirely sure what i think about it, but we’ll see how it goes.

the day my backyard turned into a swamp

today it rained.

a lot.

so much that it flooded my backyard. well it got quite damp at the very least. check out some photos!

some poor snails were too slow for the rising tides and didn't make it

it hasn’t flooded like this in ages! the last time it happened i was probably 8-10 and we got out boogie boards to swim in it.

this does take 8min to get through, but not gonna lie, totally worth the time. you’re probably trying to avoid doing some sort of work/essay so why not see something amazing?

according to my stats for this blog a fair few people have been finding this blog by searching for other things in google etc. most have them have been looking for post secret or post secret love.. a few have been crazy specific, like “ah mephistopheles” or “breathe deeply” and even “Ah, Faustus, Now hast thou but one bare hour to live”.
